AllState Auto Glass currently has a free website template that was populated with images and text. Some of the grimmer is off, links are broken, some of the filler text is still embedded in the main content, images are of poor quality and have watermarks (for the final product). Basically, they need a complete overhaul and modernization of their web presence.
My first step was to conduct an interview with the owner of the company and find out his goals, target audience, and where the current web design is lacking. His biggest issue is that he wants to generate more contacts from the website, and have a form that is more comprehensive. He also stated that most consumers aren’t aware of the technologies embedded in their windshields and wants to provide them with some guidance and information for when they need to repair or replace their glass.
After getting a good idea of what my client’s goals were, I start researching the competition in the area, what they are offering, what they are not offering, what their customers are saying, and getting a general feel of where AllState might have the advantage in their market.
What I wanted to create was a user friendly, clean interface, where customers can quickly find what they are looking for, and contact AllState as quickly as possible.
I am currently working on an interactive mobile layout to present to the client and to a few key customers to gain additional feedback on the layout and interactions with the new site.
Right now, a main sketch and main page has been completed to gain a sense of the color scheme and feel of the overall site will behave.
I will update this as the project progresses!
